If you are a candidate, the physicians at Lung Institute will tailor a stem cell treatment protocol specific to your condition, which will be administered in alignment with the following process:
Step 1: Initial Consultation
One of Lung Institute’s patient coordinators will learn about your condition and discuss treatment options with you. Your dedicated patient coordinator will walk you through the treatment process and answer any questions you may have. Following your decision to proceed with treatment, your patient coordinator will arrange your initial appointment at your convenience.
Step 2: In-Office Evaluation
At the time of your appointment, you will visit our clinic for a physical evaluation, which includes a review of your medical history and diagnostic testing. This comprehensive medical review will ensure the procedure is tailored to your specific needs and will be followed by a discussion of your personalized treatment options with one of our renowned physicians. Your doctor will also answer any further questions you have at this point, ensuring you are comfortable with the whole process.
Step 3: Procedure
Depending on your condition and the specific treatment protocol designed for you, the total stem cell treatment procedure time will range from 3 to 4 days. On the first day of your stem cell procedure, you will have an opportunity for further discussion, including being taken step-by-step through the process again, with your physician prior to the initiation of stem cell treatment administration. You may be discharged following day one of your procedure, depending on your condition. The treatment process will continue for the next two or three consecutive days. Upon the completion of your stem cell procedure, you will be given supplements and growth factors to support your health and provided information on follow-up care. You will be advised to relax for the next few weeks, as your body will be undergoing an accelerated healing process.
Step 4: Post-Procedure Care
The type and level of follow-up care you will be provided will depend upon your individual requirements but will always be a component of the procedure. After you leave our office, your dedicated patient coordinator will be available around the clock for you. Two weeks after the final day of your treatment, your patient coordinator will call you to discuss your progress. At the six-week mark, you will speak with your doctor to discuss the outcomes of your stem cell procedure and discuss the possibility of further care if necessary. An in-office check-up may or may not be recommended.
