Lung Health Institute Partners with Lift Pulmonary Rehab

You may have been prescribed pulmonary rehab in the past, but had difficulty finding a facility or therapist nearby. Research has shown that pulmonary rehab has real benefits for patients suffering from COPD, so it’s a treatment worth pursuing. However, we know that it isn’t always possible to travel to a pulmonary rehab facility. That’s why the Lung Health Institute is now proud to offer its patients a free 6-month membership to Lift Pulmonary Rehab, an online pulmonary rehab program.
Lift Pulmonary Rehab was designed to:

  • Increase strength
  • Increase endurance
  • Reduce shortness of breath
  • Improve overall quality of life
  • Provide emotional support and community

Once you’ve invested in cellular treatment at the Lung Health Institute, Lift can help you experience the best possible results by continuing this program from the comfort of your home.
How does it work?
Experts guide participants through an entirely online program from their own homes, using items from around the home (so there is no need to invest in costly gym equipment!). Participants are able to log on through their home computers, tablet or a mobile app.
What types of exercises are included?
Think of exercises like lifting soup cans, walking around your home or lifting a sack of potatoes. Depending on your current strength level, some exercises are even done from a seated position on your couch. Expect daily video classes and an online support community where you can ask respiratory therapists questions and talk to other individuals who are managing their COPD like you.
How long does treatment span?
The Lung Health Institute provides its patients a free 6-month subscription, and the program can be continued following that time period for a small fee.
How can I gain access to the program?
A Lung Health Institute staff member will walk you through the sign-up process, which takes as little as 5 minutes. From there, you can begin the program as soon as you arrive home. There is a phone number you can call at any time if you have questions. To begin, all you need is an email address and as little as 10 minutes a day.
Be sure to ask your patient coordinator today about Lift Pulmonary Rehab when you make your appointment to visit one of our facilities!
