Natalie’s fight for hope: A COPD treatment testimonial

All around the world, there are millions of people living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) every day. In many cases, COPD patients don’t have much hope they can get better or even effectively treat the symptoms of this condition. However, one woman’s COPD journey with the Lung Health Institute should inspire hope in other COPD patients.

Some of the trials COPD patients face every day

When patients are diagnosed with COPD, many are told there’s not much hope to slow the progression of this chronic lung disease. Even with advances in cellular therapy, such as what the Lung Health Institute offers with our lung treatment, many doctors don’t believe this approach to be effective for their patients.
Instead, COPD patients must often live a very low-quality life as a result of such views. For instance, many COPD patients have extreme difficulty performing everyday tasks most of us take for granted. Imagine if you needed help to take a shower, or you had to stop and catch your breath just from walking to the car. Think about how it would make you feel if you had to constantly interrupt conversations with loved ones just to gasp for air.
Unfortunately, trials like these are things that many COPD patients deal with every single day.

One woman’s journey with the Lung Health Institute inspires hope

At the Lung Health Institute, our health care team has helped many COPD patients improve their quality of life with cellular therapy. Some of our patients have even regained a sense of hope as a result of their journey with us, which includes one patient named Natalie.
Natalie is a native of the small island country of Aruba, and she was originally diagnosed with COPD in April 2016. When she was diagnosed with this condition, her doctor gave her medication and the bleak news that she likely only had five to six months left to live. However, Natalie isn’t one to give up hope easily. So, she started searching the internet on her own for other COPD treatments.
One result that her search turned up was information about the cellular therapy offered by the Lung Health Institute. After talking with a patient coordinator, Natalie began her journey with the Lung Health Institute with her first cellular therapy session. Within three weeks of her first treatment she began to see positive changes.
Natalie’s life has improved dramatically since her first cellular therapy session, and when she talks about her progress, she says, “It’s been life changing!”
She’s still kept busy fundraising for her cellular therapy sessions, and she’s a vocal advocate for changing the way COPD is treated in Aruba. However, she also no longer uses a rescue inhaler, and her nebulizer usage has gone from every four hours to morning and evening as needed. She can go to the movies on her own, and she’s happy she doesn’t have to pause to catch her breath while talking to people anymore.
Natalie also has a message of hope for her fellow COPD patients when it comes to cellular therapy. “If you come in with a positive attitude that it’s going to help you, it’s going to help you,” she said.

The Lung Health Institute offers hope to COPD patients through cellular therapy

At the Lung Health Institute, we’re dedicated to helping COPD patients, like Natalie, find the most effective treatment for this chronic lung condition. One option we offer that may benefit COPD patients is cellular therapy. This therapy separates cells containing platelet-rich plasma platelet-concentrate (PRP-PC) from a sample of your own blood and returns the concentrated cells to your body through an IV. The concentrated cells are pumped through the heart and into the lungs where they may reduce inflammation and promote lung tissue healing.
We also offer three helpful Anti-Inflammatory Initiative™, or AI2™, wellness plans that may help boost your immune system and train your body to use fats as inflammation-fighting fuel.
