The Lung Institute to Open its Fourth Clinic in Pittsburgh, PA

Tampa, FL (May 15, 2015) – The Lung Institute is expanding and will be opening a new clinic in Pittsburgh, PA in July 2015. They specialize in treating patients with debilitating lung diseases using stem cell therapy. The Lung Institute is now hiring for the following open positions: Office Manager / Front Desk, Consult Specialist, Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse and Nurse Practitioner. Office Manager / Front Desk: The Office Manager will handle daily management of the office and all duties related to administration, bookkeeping and accounting and patient interaction and assistance. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and they’re looking for at least 2 years of Office Manager/Administrative Assistant experience.

Consult Specialist: The Consult Specialist is responsible for growing relationships with patients both face to face and over the phone. This staff member will walk patients through the treatment process, coordinate schedules and distribute information as needed. The Consult Specialist must have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 1-3 years of customer service experience.

Certified Medical Assistant: The Certified Medical Assistant will conduct patient care during treatment and provide information and services as needed. This person will have a Medical Assistant certification or MA Diploma. CPR certification is preferred, and two years of MA experience is required. IV and phlebotomy experience required.

Licensed Practical Nurse: The Licensed Practical Nurse prepares patients for treatment by performing preliminary physical tests and counseling patients. A licensed Practical Nurse Certification (PA), medical terminology knowledge and 2 years of LPN experience are required. IV and phlebotomy experience, experience with mixing solutions and MS Office knowledge and EMR experience are required.

Nurse Practitioner: The Nurse Practitioner will provide patient care from the initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of the patient’s condition. This person will work collaboratively with the Lung Institute medical team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required. An Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License (in state of Pennsylvania) is required, along with 1-5 years of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner.
