Cellular Therapy as an Alternative Form of COPD Treatment

A promising form of alternative chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) treatment available at the Lung Institute, cellular therapy uses a patient’s own cells to help alleviate inflammation and may slow the progression of this troublesome lung disease. In this treatment, cells are taken from the patient’s own body, then processed and reintroduced into the patient’s body intravenously. Cells are uniquely capable of promoting healing throughout the body. When used as a form of COPD treatment, cellular therapy has helped many individuals significantly improve their quality of life.

Many individuals who use cellular therapy as an alternative form of COPD treatment may find that their symptoms gradually improve in the days and weeks that follow their procedure. For instance, cellular therapy may make it easier to breathe. In some cases, patients may be able to reduce their dependence on supplemental oxygen. And, while other COPD treatments are primarily aimed at alleviating the symptoms of the condition, cellular therapy have the potential to slow the progression of the disease. As a result, patients may experience long-term benefits that they would not be able to obtain from other forms of COPD treatment.

The Lung Institute is the world’s only cellular therapy center that focuses exclusively on the treatment of lung conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in its various stages. We offer a therapy that can be used as an alternative COPD treatment:

  •  Blood-Derived Therapy, in which the cells are obtained from the patient’s blood

With the procedure, the cells are processed in our on-site lab. Then they are administered in our clean and comfortable treatment rooms. The natural treatments are performed on an outpatient basis, and comprehensive follow-up care is provided by our caring medical team.

If other forms of COPD treatment haven’t provided you with adequate relief, an alternative may be waiting for you at the Lung Institute. To speak with one of our friendly team members, call 888-745-6697. We’re here to help you explore your options whenever you’re ready.

* Every patient is given a Patient Satisfaction Survey shortly after treatment. Responses to the 11-question survey are aggregated to determine patient satisfaction with the delivery of treatment.

^ Quality of Life Survey data measured the patient’s self-assessed quality of life and measurable quality of improvement at three months of COPD patients.

All claims made regarding the efficacy of Lung Institute's treatments as they pertain to pulmonary conditions are based solely on anecdotal support collected by Lung Institute. Individual conditions, treatment and outcomes may vary and are not necessarily indicative of future results. Testimonial participation is voluntary. Lung Institute does not pay for or script patient testimonials.

As required by Texas state law, the Lung Institute Dallas Clinic has received Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval from MaGil IRB, now Chesapeake IRB, which is fully accredited by the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Program (AAHRPP), for research protocols and procedures.
